Light, fresh apple aroma and dry, this Northern Italian Pinot Grigio is made by top vinter Lois Legader.

2007 Gini Soave Classico La Frosca        $36

Fresh, gold colored and smooth with a velvety mouthfeel, this Soave is made from one hundred percent Garganega grapes, then matured in small barriques.

2006 Pazo de Senorans Albarino           $44

Stand-out dry Albarino, with subtle tangerine and honeysuckle aromatics. Medium bodied, highly concentrated, great focus to its citrus and green apple flavors.

A French one hundred percent Chardonnay from Southern Burgundy. White stone fruit, a hint of citrus, and crisp finish.

Made from a less-known grape, Godella, in Valdeorras. This white is pale yellow with a bright, pure aroma. Clean and elegant, with minerality on the finish. Smells like a Puligny-Montrachet.

Fleshy and round, smoky floral noted, citrus and lush fruit. From Rueda. Eighty percent Verdejo grapes. Organic. No oak.

2006 Vie di Romans Tocai Fruilino         $62

Full bodied, deep white with soft satisfying mouthfeel. Light floral and honey blossom araomas. Made from Tocai grapes, in Fruili, Italy.

A Southern French, sparkling rose with a bright fruit aroma that drinks bone dry. Made by Ami Guibert, one of Languedoc’s premiere vinters and personalities.

Huguet Cava Gran Reserva                    $68

A blend of Parellada, Macabeo and Chardonnay. Very successful technically and most agreeable. Excellent and stable mousse, fine. Pale colour with a nose which evokes both nutshells and vine flowers.

Nino Franco Prosecco                   $10 / $38

A dry Italian sparkler with gentle, small bubbles and a subtle apple aroma.

Raventos I Cava Organic                 $9 / $35

Dry, organic, clean, bright and refreshing, with light citrus - a small production Spanish Sarkler, made from a blend including Macabeo and Xerel-Lo, grown on chalky soil.

This is a dark but transparently clear, bronze-color wine with a coppery hue. Appetizing aromas are nutlike and true, cracked walnuts and pecans, with more subtle back notes of dried figs and dates.

Dry, but full wine coming from the Lustau bodegas in Jerez de la Frontera; elegant, but rich to taste.

Emilio Lustau, Los Arcos                       $10

Naturally dry and soft, its palate gives a hint of wood and smoky raisins, while the bouquet is powerful, distinctive and nutty.
